Physiotherapy is an effective, evidence based medical discipline that specializes in promoting physical health, mobility and independent function. Physiotherapists are movement specialists and have the ability to diagnose your condition or injury through an in-depth physical assessment. The main goal of physiotherapy is to reduce pain, improve mobility, restore function and improve quality of life.
After conducting an in-depth assessment, our physiotherapists will then formulate a patient-centered treatment program specific to your needs in order to treat the injury or condition. Your treatment program may consist of patient education, joint mobilizations/manipulations, dry needling/IMS, soft tissue techniques, therapeutic modalities and progressive prescribed exercise programs.
It is important to seek physiotherapy quickly after an injury or when you first notice pain as your symptoms will resolve quicker with early physiotherapy intervention.

The concept and technology originally evolved from the discovery that focused sound waves were capable of breaking down kidney and gallstones. Generated shockwaves have proven successful in a number of scientific studies for the treatment of chronic conditions. Shockwave therapy is its own treatment for a lingering injury, or pain resulting from illness. You don’t need painkillers with it - the purpose of the therapy is to trigger the body’s own natural healing response. Many people report that their pain is reduced and mobility improved after the first treatment.
